Overview
As the home of the Australian PGA Championship, resort golf in Australia doesn’t get better than at Hyatt Regency Coolum.
Australian golfer Geoff Ogilvy has announced he is adding the PGA Championship at Coolum to his schedule in 2006. If it’s good enough for the reigning US Open champion, it’s definitely a course to experience.
Located on the Sunshine Coast this 72 par, 6263 metre course offers contrasting landscapes, from coastal holes adjoining the Pacific Ocean to manicured fairways that weave their way through native bushland.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, a round of golf at this superbly challenging course is complemented by an ideal sub-tropical climate.
The facility also includes a fully equipped Pro Shop, the Golf Improvement Centre, a 260m floodlit driving range and a chipping green with adjoining bunker.
